I interviewed a nice woman yesterday at the local flea market. She and her husband have been selling furs, leather, bones, crafts, native american goods, etc. for 15 years. After the interview, I commented on how I knew most tails that were there, except this one. She said it was a mutation, and then said "It's yours." After me stupidly saying "Really? Seriously? Mine" for several seconds, it sunk in that she really was giving me a beautiful fox tail for free.

Now, what in the world kind of mutation is this? It's an off-white cream color with darker spirals since the tail is twisted. Maybe an arctic mutation of some sort, right? At 16.5 inches long, it's nice.

To see a beautiful picture of it, I put one in my scraps. It's just a showy picture. [link]

Oh It's no marble. The dark fur is on the underside of the tail. The top is perfectly white. I have a brown marble and a blue marble. They're nothing like this. I'm guessing it's a mutation fox whose fur aged a bit.

I'm sorry, but I have to disagree. Marbles have no coloring on the bottom on the tail, and scattered coloring on the top. This tail has coloring only on the bottom, and no coloring on top.

[link] It's not a marble. :/ I untwisted it. Trust me, I know my foxes, and this is no fox I know. It's just a mutation. Not a marble, arctic, or golden island. It was just a rancher having fun with their foxes.

It's been twisted, but it'd be lovely if they were natural! xD
