Spider In My Yard

Soooo I have a bunch of little spiders in my yard... They don't look like they do in this picture at all. It LOOKS brown, but is actually a light green with while stripes on its sides, two bright orange spots on the sides, and a sideways orange hourglass on the belly. Not a brown widow, just a harmless spider. I'm curious as to what these little guys are... ^^

If you know anything like what I'm describing, I'd love to know. I live in Southwest Florida, I haven't found pictures anywhere, and I have no clue what they're called. I like them though. I haven't been bitten myself, but both my mother and father have been. As far as I can tell, the little guys are poisonous, but not enough to make you sick. >.>

Funny story about this picture though... Right as I was trying to clear some old cobwebs(they were uninhabited) to get a better picture of the spider, I bent down and low and behold! Right under one of those rolly things you put the hose on, was a nest of about 10-20 yellow jackets... I did not stop to count. o.o I jumped out the space I was in and ran like hell for the door. Since it's been cool today, they were inactive and didn't chase me. But I told my dad, and he sprayed them.

However... When I went out to take pictureds of the dead ones, not even a foot from my head, resting on a blue tarp, was the queen yellow jacket!! O.O Yet again, I ran like hell for the door. I. wanted. pictures.. So I sprayed the bugger myself. ^^ I feel so proud now, because I'm deathly afraid of wasps... Yay for my little backyard adventures..
