Thorn paws WIP(read description)

I got ONE paw pad sewn up and part of the leg sewed. x.x Plus a few holes in his body done. I started at 9:45. It's now 12:45.
I'm going to try to get the rest of this leg sewn and stuffed tomorrow, and maybe soak another paw to work on.

I would never have figured to soak the paw to sew it up. I'm going to fix it tomorrow so the paw pad looks better.
I put a slight amount of clay in the toes to help them hold their shape and look a bit better. I stuffed the paw and sewed it up as best I could, and I'm keeping an eye on it.
Well, that's about 1/16 of the sewing I'm going to be doing. XD

*EDIT EDIT* I just got one full leg done! x.x The leather needle is soooo nice. I'd recommend anyone getting them to sew fur and leather... So much easier. I love it. Anyway, the leg is sewed and stuffed and I hid the seam as best I could. Is it natural for the leg to twist very slightly to one side? o.o" It looks nice to me, and I like how the paw came out with the clay in the toes. It adds just enough weight to the paw, makes it look and feel like it has an actual foot in there, and it let me know where holes in the toes were. XD Yes, I found two or three small holes where clay started to come out. I also found my hide paste so I'm good to mount his head as soon as his eyes get here. Very excited. I'm trying to be as watchful and meticulous as I can when doing all of this. When I get to his head, I will be asking for critique and help.
On a side note, I'll be getting my wolf tanned soon. I rehydrated my coon(yeah, he's raw x.x), very quickly and carefully to turn him skin out so I can finish fleshing him. I actually find it easier to flesh when the skin is dry because it peels right off. I checked his eyes and lips. He IS taxidermy quality. I split a little more around one eye(the eye he got shot through) because it was lacking a bit of skin. Other than that, I'm hoping once I dry flesh him I can send him off with my wolf to be tanned. After that, if he comes back find and dandy, I'll mount him. Not sure if traditional or soft yet. He IS missing one toe, and another fell off(I have it in a bag) due to me being impatient and trying to break the skin to get it so I could turn him skin out.

*EDIT* went out and got a 'kit' just for the thread(my current thread is from the 60s-80s. It frays and breaks with too much pressure) since it was a lot cheaper. 25 yard spools, 12 spools in the pack. Also got three leather needles to help. x.x Probably should have had these before... I was terrified of breaking my needle(This has happened to me with three needles before)
